The gift-giving season is here again … it is a time of fun, family and food, a time when we get together with loved ones to celebrate by giving and receiving and spreading joy! This year we invite you, your family and loved ones to again come and celebrate with us and share in giving!

Yup…Santa Clause is coming to town….

Yes Santa will again be visiting Cedar Lakes on Saturday 4 December 2010, when the Kiddies Christmas party kicks off at 12:00! So come and meet Santa at the Club house at 14h00 and share in the fun of the day.

There will be loads of fun things for the kiddies to do …. from waterslides (for the little ones and bigger kiddies), jumping castles, ice creams and the Fairy Lady will be providing face painting, a treasure hunt, lucky boxes, candy floss and popcorn (so bring your wallet). Our DJ will be adding to the festivities with great festive season music!!

In addition we will have our usual tractor rides and our swings.

We are also considering having a Christmas market this year, and will keep you updated on this idea.

So how to share in the giving and receiving:
If you want Santa to hand out a gift to your child/children, please ensure that the gifts are wrapped and clearly marked with your child’s name, surname, stand number and age. To ensure happiness amongst all and to stick to the idea of giving, please could parents buy gifts to a maximum of R100 each. Please deliver the gifts to Aneska at the Estate Office by latest 1December 2010!

We will again be giving back to a charity, and this year in teaching our children about the value of giving, we ask that each child pick one of their own toys that is not broken and that they are happy parting with, wrap it and mark it with an age group and gender that it is suited for. They will be asked to drop off this gift at our collection point… and the gifts will be taken to one of the worthy charities that we support . …to make someone who is not as fortunate as we are a little happier!!

And if your heart is warm and you want to give more … we will again collect old clothes, non-perishable food, toiletries and any other form of donation … you can put it in the boxes that will be available at the Club house from early December and we will then donate it to charities!

So bring your blankets, chairs and umbrellas and join in the fun. We will be selling boerewors rolls and hamburgers to fit the picnic style day. The Club house will be open for the day and fully operational to cater for all your needs!

Hope to see all our Cedar Lakes families at this fun day!
