Easter 2009 was again enjoyed by all – Sunday 12 April
The day broke sunny, bright and warm but with a lot of dew! The team were up and going ahead of the 7.30 deadline. Ryan and his staff had already moved the coffee machine to the tuck shop area and the aroma of the hot cross buns was tantalizing.
The Lifestyle ladies demarcated areas for the youngsters to go egg hunting and proceeded to help the Easter bunny hide the eggs. By the time that was all done, the first little customers were arriving with collection baskets in eager hands. Lots of pictures were taken and the hunt was on. In the meantime our judges – Irene and Ken Kretzman, Lyn Chamberlain and Allie Bradley had a hard time deciding who the prizewinners were to be.
The hot cross buns (which were sponsored by Broadacres Spar), along with the coffee, were enjoyed by all. Breakfast was being served on the terrace and inside the restaurant and was well attended. After the egg hunt, the children bonnet-less and shoe-less were jumping on the jumping castles while judges were scratching their heads making decisions. Gary the magician had a full room and a roaring response.
The winners of the Pam Golding Easter eggs prizes were:
Prettiest Girls Hat: Paige Warner
Cutest Boy: Colin Wilford
Cutest Girls: Amy Lee & Jazlyn Sugden & Bathany Brophy
Youngest Competitor: Madison Minihold
Best Easter Theme: Zara Edleson
Raffle winners of the hampers which were sponsored by parents from the Lifestyle Committee were:
